Physical Activity Guidelines (Children 1-5yrs)

    When How Hard How
    Toddlers (1-2yrs) at least 180 mins per day.
    Spread the time throughout the day.
    Active and Outdoor play. Messy play
    Dance
    Throw & catch
    Games
    Walking
    Playground/park etc.
    Pre-schoolers  (3-5yrs) at least 180 mins per day.
    Spread the time throughout the day.
    Within the 180 minutes include at least 60 minutes of moderate (can’t sing) to vigorous (can’t talk) activity. Jumping & bounding
    Skipping
    Walking & running
    Scooting
    Cycling
    Swimming
    Games
    etc.
