In order for us to create a true ‘for The People, by The People’ health initiative, we need the support and expertise of The People.
If you feel passionate about being part of a new health initiative that brings power back to the communities, enables you to make informed health choices that align with your values and beliefs, and that puts The People ahead of profits, then we would love you to join us as a volunteer for The People’s Health Alliance.
We have so many areas to get involved with such as health practitioners, administration, IT, marketing, fundraising and many more. Wherever your skills and passions lie, we will certainly be able to find something for you.

Whilst these roles are voluntary, once we establish a good source of funding and other revenue streams, we will be looking to take on some F/T and P/T contractors. Our volunteer support is incredibly important to this initiative but we also want to pay those who are giving lots of time and energy to help PHA.
|PHA Forum Admins||Supporting the onboarding of users into the correct private forums, monitoring comments and threads within public forums, acting as a point of contact for queries from users. We would ideally like to have between 5-10 people to help with this as we envisage it becoming an important part of connecting people.|
|Mailbox Management||Fielding emails to the right people and responding to general enquiries – templates will be provided. Ideally suited for someone(s) with previous experience with managing a large inbox. Whilst it is manageable at the moment, it will get busier and may require 2-3 people to help with this in the coming months.|
|Partners & Affiliates Support||We have a growing list of amazing Partners & Affiliates and would love to find someone who can maintain the relationships once formed, organising calls and acting as point of contact for any queries. This role will support our P&A Lead. B2B experience will be advantageous as well as good organisational skills.|
|Volunteer Recruitment||Finding suitable people to fill various volunteer roles on an ongoing basis. PHA is growing quickly and we are always looking to fill new roles within different projects. Would be good for someone with good people skills, not necessarily in recruitment, organised and proactive.|
|Finance Support||Working as part of the finance team to help support the team leader with correspondence, invoicing and any adhoc admin tasks.|
|Events Assistants||PHA will be having a big birthday bash next year that will need organising alongside the Events Lead and we envisage having other events to organise in the coming months. No events experience needed as long as you are organised with great attention to detail.|
|Procurement Team||This is a huge area and we have an appeal set up to help fund this vital project. We will need a team dedicated to the procurement of emergency equipment for hubs and local communities to support the ambulance service crisis. We will require some experienced medical personnel to support this project as well as admin support.|
|First Aid Training Facilitators||As part of the Power of the Pound Appeal, we will be supporting communities around the UK with first aid training so that people within the community can support those at home until emergency services arrive. We need a team to connect with organisations that provide this vital training and organise their services across the UK.|
|Graphic Designers||Adhoc projects such as flyers, campaign designs, event posters and website imagery.|
Marketing & PR
|Marketing & PR Assistant||Supporting our Marketing & PR lead with: planning and carrying out campaigns and strategies, writing and editing press releases and social media content and using all forms of media to help with exposure.|
|Mental Health Project Co-ordinators||Connecting with mental health groups that we can support and connect them with the hubs to provide services within local communities. |
Setting up a MH hotline with a team of practitioners to support the people of the UK at national level.
|Mental Health Practitioners||Working alongside the MH hotline co-ordinator as part of the team to support the people of the UK at national level.|
|Merchandise Lead||Investigating potential suppliers for PHA merchandise, co-ordinating the designs, acting as point of contact, maintaining relationships.|
|Fundraising Lead||Heading up a team of fundraisers to help bring in vital funds for PHA. Fundraising experience neeeded and project management experience will be advantageous but not necessary as long as you are organised with great people skills and proactive.|
|Finance Lead||Working alongside the fundraising team to head up PHA finances. There will be many different income streams to manage as well as PHA funded projects such as the social care pot and emergency service support. This will require someone experienced in heading up a team and able to co-ordinate different elements.|
|HR Lead||Whilst we are currently all volunteers, we will need someone with HR experience to help further down the line with contracts, as and when we are able to employ contractors.|
|Events Lead||PHA will be having a big birthday bash next year that will need organising and we envisage having other events to organise in the coming months. This role will require someone with events management experience, preferably for large scale events/festivals.|
|Education Lead||This will be a big area for PHA and the right person will need to create a dedicated team to faciliate and organise webinars on a variety of topics as well as workshops and roundtable events with guest speakers. It will be a very diverse role and will be great for someone organised and comfortable overseeing and co-ordinating a team. Experience with organising webinars/events would be advantageous.|
|Campaign Manager||We have a couple of big campaigns in the infancy stages which will become very big for PHA. Someone to oversee both of the campaigns across our social media platforms will be needed.|
|Social Media Assistants||Writing posts across multiple platforms and accounts in keeping with PHA messaging, monitoring comments and responding in a respectful manner.|
|Trust/PMA Advisor||We are keen to investigate Private Trusts and Private Member Associations. If you have experience with either of these, please get in touch.|
|Partner & Affiliate Co-ordinator||Point of contact for P&A’s who would like to add their details or content to the website, maintaing Partner pages for those that have them.|
|Hub Content Co-ordinator||Point of contact for hubs that would like to share their information on the website – either creating pages for them on the website or linking through to their site if they have one and being point of contact for the website.|
|Content Co-ordinator||Ensuring that approved content is added to the website in the right categories.|
|Technical Support||Supporting our Web developer with ongoing technical support. Experience with wordpress and CMS/PHP is required.|
