Your Generosity makes a Difference
Thanks to the generosity of many people, an incredible amount of work has been achieved to date, with much more in the pipeline. You can find the latest donation update here.
We are committed to continued assistance for local groups and we will be focussing on some key projects on our roadmap:
- Mental Health Support
- A resource library for community hub builders
- A pilot model for community youth hubs
- Funding for core infrastructure and operational costs
We appreciate that not everyone is in a position to support us financially, so below are some other ideas for how you can help us with our mission.
Our Promise to you
We value each penny of your generous donations and are committed to maintaining complete transparency regarding the funds we receive. As we observe the NHS’s misuse of taxpayer money on a daily basis, we remain resolute in our commitment to accountability. It is our responsibility to ensure that every donation is utilised efficiently and effectively. To achieve this, we will provide quarterly updates to all donors, whether they contribute regularly or make one-off donations. We believe it is crucial for everyone to understand how their money is being spent.
If you would like to donate a substantial gift to PHA and would prefer to talk with someone first, please reach out to us at info@the-pha.org and we’d be happy to speak with you.
Fundraise
Here are our top 10 fundraising ideas that may inspire you to raise funds for PHA or a local health hub.
- Charity Auction: Organise a charity auction where people can bid on donated items or experiences. This can be done in person or online.
- Crowdfunding Campaign: Start a crowdfunding campaign on platforms like GoFundMe or Kickstarter to raise funds for a specific cause or project. When you share your reasons from the heart, you may be surprised by the support you receive.
- Bake Sale: Host a bake sale where volunteers can contribute homemade baked goods to sell. This is a classic and effective way to raise funds whilst also getting to meet up with people in person and enjoy each others company.
- Fun Run/Walk: Organise a fun run or walk event where participants can gather sponsors who pledge to donate a certain amount per mile or kilometre completed.
- Talent Show: Host a talent show where individuals or groups can showcase their talents, and charge an admission fee for attendees.
- Car Wash: Set up a car wash station and offer to clean cars for a donation. This is a great way to raise funds while providing a useful service. Remember to hand a PHA information flyer to every customer!
- Online Fundraising Challenge: Create an online challenge (e.g., ice bucket challenge) and encourage participants to share videos of themselves completing the challenge while also making a donation. These sorts of events are highly sharable.
- Community Garage Sale: Organise a community-wide garage sale where residents can donate items to sell, with proceeds going towards your fundraising goal.
- Dinner Party or Potluck: Host a dinner party or potluck where guests can make a donation to attend. You can also include additional activities like raffles or auctions to raise more funds.
- Corporate Sponsorship: Reach out to local businesses and corporations to seek sponsorship via your event. Offer advertising opportunities or exclusive benefits in return for their support.
Remember, the key to successful fundraising is to clearly communicate your cause, engage your community with your story of why you are doing it, and provide value to your supporters. Good luck with your fundraising efforts!
Share
We have seen huge organic growth thanks to the incredible support of the PHA family, near and far. Here are some ways you can help us to continue with our mission to facilitate the creation of community health hubs around the UK:
- Like and share our posts with you family and friends – As well as expanding our reach, potentially attracting new supporters and donors, sharing our content helps raise awareness about important systemic healthcare issues and solutions. This can lead to increased understanding, empathy, and support for the cause. Even better, it could start a shift in perspective and understanding the power of choices for their own health. Find links to our social media here.
- Sign up to our newsletter – In the current climate of censorship, defunding, and cancel culture, the only way we can be certain to stay in touch with you is if you provide your email address for direct, unfiltered conversation. If you enjoy our content, we would love for you to share our newsletters with your family and friends.
- Potential Partnerships – We are open to collaborating with like-minded organisations that share the same values and ethos as PHA. Collaboration is crucial for building a strong interconnected network of health hubs that can support the needs of their community. Please email info@the-pha.org if you have some ideas or would like to connect yourself.
Participate
There are a number of ways you can get involved with PHA:
- Find and join your local hub via our hub directory and volunteer your time. You don’t have to be a practitioner to get involved, there are many different skills needed to create something for the community.
- Join our practitioner directory. We wish to support you by strengthening the collective presence of holistic, functional, and integrated services at the grassroots level. All we ask is that you align with our Principles. If you choose to work in a hub, this means practicing in an ethical, patient-centred primary care environment alongside others who share the same vision where conventional medicine and holistic therapies can work alongside each other and be equally supported. This approach creates a bridge between the two worlds and offers a truly integrated approach to health.
- Testimonials are a powerful way to raise awareness and trust. If you have an experience or health transformation that you would like to share then please reach out to us. We will happily provide support for creating and submitting your video or written comments to share on our website.
- In order to be truly grassroots, feedback is vitally important. We regularly share posts to see if you have any suggestions or thoughts around projects we’re working on. We welcome all constructive feedback and encourage you to reach out to us so that we can keep the feedback loop going. Please email us at info@the-pha.org.
Leaving a gift in your will ensures that your legacy of support for our work endures, enabling us to extend a helping hand to more individuals in need for years to come. Our impactful work, is sustained through various channels such as donations, fundraising efforts, and the generous contributions from supporters who choose to remember us in their wills or as a tribute in memory of loved ones. Your thoughtful gesture not only makes a difference today but also paves the way for a brighter tomorrow for those we serve.
If you already have a will in place, simply contact your solicitor to amend it accordingly. However, if you don’t have a will yet, follow these steps:
- Value your estate by listing all assets and debts.
- Decide how to divide your estate and specify beneficiaries.
- Consider what happens if beneficiaries predecease you or for remaining assets.
- Provide The People’s Alliance C.I.C. details and specify your gift.
- Choose trustworthy executors to carry out your wishes.
- Ensure your will is legally valid with proper signatures and witnesses.
- Store your will securely and inform your executors of its location.
Consulting a solicitor, bank, or professional will writer, licensed by relevant bodies, is advisable for accurate legal documentation and execution of your wishes.
