Dolores is a highly accomplished inventor, founder, and shareholder of companies who has made a significant impact in the field of early and accurate disease diagnosis. With over 20 years of expertise in high-throughput protein and antibody array technology, as well as proteomics and biomedical applications, Dolores has been instrumental in advancing the field of biomarker discovery, diagnostics, and personalized medicine.
In recent years, Dolores has turned her attention to the protection of inalienable rights and freedoms, co-founding organizations such as the World Freedom Alliance, World Travel Alliance, and Custodean.com. She is also supporting the World Council for Health and Doctors for COVID Ethics.
With a wealth of experience in various EU initiatives, such as the EU Future and Emerging technologies (FETOPEN) Innovation Launchpad and the EU Horizon 2020 Societal Challenges 1 (Health), Dolores has held several granted and licensed international patents (in the EU, USA, Japan, and Australia) and has published numerous peer-reviewed publications and reports.
Throughout her career, Dolores has held positions such as a Professor at University College Dublin and Group Leader at the Max-Planck-Institute in Berlin. She has also supervised numerous PhD and Masters students and co-founded Protagen AG in Dortmund, which has screened and profiled the autoantibody repertoire of over 20,000 patients. Dolores also established Protagen Protein Services, a spin-off company of Protagen, which provides expertise in protein, antibody, proteomics, and peptide contract services to the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sectors.
