I am a registered craniosacral therapist and I’m very passionate about the scope and benefits of CST, and the need to make it both more accessible and recognised.
As a mother of four, with a disabled child, we experienced a considerable degree of trauma, and CST has been fundamental to our journey of healing from and addressing the impact of this on our nervous systems.
In post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD, there is a fundamental need to address the somatic impact of trauma before talking therapy can be effective.
CST is recognised as an excellent first step in this process and also alongside talking therapy.
I currently have clinics in Pimlico and Peckham, South London, with the latter offering a community focus and sliding scale for clients who may not otherwise be able to access therapy.
My goal is to see CST subsidised as an essential service, with more referrals from GPs and other healthcare professionals.
It would be wonderful to see many more people benefit from this extraordinary therapy.
