I am an Animal Reiki practitioner based near Bath. I work with animals using an approach which is Animal-led and non-intrusive, both in-person at the animals own home or remotely/distantly.
The animals I support come to me with a range of physical and emotional issues, including anxiety, stress, illness, arthritis or other long term physical complaints. Reiki can accelerate the body’s ability to repair itself so wonderfully post-surgery and also offers pain management.
Quite often animal owners approach me because their animals’ emotional issues are manifesting in behaviours that are unfavourable, such as difficulty taking their dog for a walk or being unable to leave them for long. Reiki treats the root of the issue so I frequently see fundamental and long term positive changes.
I often also support animals that have been adopted from Rescue Centres and the effect of Reiki on trauma is very positive. Reiki is very powerful but also gentle and animals will often deeply relax during a treatment, whether in-person or remotely. My role is not to diagnose, and with Reiki being a complementary therapy it’s not designed to replace vet care but can work well alongside it.
