The Bowen Technique is an incredibly gentle, non-invasive bodywork which stimulates the body’s self-healing mechanisms. Bowen works holistically to address physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance to bring potentially powerful and profound benefits to body and mind.
Bowen can be administered over light clothing and can even be done seated making it suitable for everyone; I work with new-born babies through to centenarians – every body can benefit from Bowen.
With 13 years of experience in practise and qualified in a number of different modalities and disciplines, my clients experience a fully holistic and supported path to taking control of their health and their well-being.
Bowen can alleviate pain, bring relief of symptoms associated with long-term conditions as well as injuries, surgical complications, emotional challenges and chronic fatigue.
I most commonly see people in my practice presenting with lower back problems, sciatica, neck and shoulder pain, hip and pelvic issues, stress, adrenal fatigue, sports injuries, migraine, hormonal imbalances, chronic fatigue and long-covid but there is almost nothing presenting in the body that cannot benefit in some way from Bowen – the list is just too long to type here!
If anyone would like a no-obligation chat about how Bowen might help you, then please get in touch.
I am also a Laughter Therapist and ran the most successful not-for-profit laughter club in the UK for over 10 years as the only UK club to receive NHS funding and to raise over £25K for local charities. Edinburgh Laughter Club was even featured on Trust Me, I’m A Doctor for their mental health special. I now run a weekly class in Leith.
I co-founded Laughter Cleanse Retreats which ran several times a year in Spain from 2016-2019 and 23 hope to resume Laughter Cleanse with UK retreats next year.
I am also passionate about spending time in nature and started wild swimming in the summer of 2019 to help me deal with grief. It’s been life-changing!
