Did you know the core problem plaguing humanity is that our egoic selves dominate our conscious selves.
The egoic self is that voice inside your head, constantly plaguing you with unwanted, thoughts, it’s the critic of your past, and the doom and gloom of your perceived future.
Anxiety – worrying about what has not happened yet – can inhibit living life to the fullest.
Did you know that chemicals are produced in the body according to the thoughts and negative thoughts induce fear, and anxiety which can lead to shallow breathing, racing heart, palpitations and over time can cause depression.
Your egoic self is not who you are – its not your natural state
Consider this, the past is gone and can’t be changed. The future hasn’t happened yet and thus only exists in your egoic mind! Your conscious authentic self exists only in the present, when your mind isn’t wandering into the past or present with thoughts. So, by making conscious changes in the here and now in your thought patterns, you can affect your body chemistry to produce happy, feel-good hormones, which positively affect both you and those around you.

When we practice mindfulness, we’re practicing the art of creating space to think, to breathe, and put space between ourselves and our reactions.
Becoming Mindful
- Walking, notice the beauty in around you, not your thoughts.
- Leisure practices, focus and enjoy on the present moment.
- Meditation, sit in a quiet space and follow the sensation of your breath in and out. Notice when your mind has wandered and return your attention to the breath.
Be kind to your wandering mind. Don’t judge yourself or obsess over your thoughts, simply return to the present moment. Becoming mindful reduces stress and derives many health benefits, confidence and happiness over time.
